Heartwood

This project showcases the benefits and features of mass timber construction within a mixed use commercial building. Located in the Midtown Arts District of Atlanta, Georgia, the project features a food and retail marketplace, multi-family housing, community center, pool + gym. Fully integrated are HVAC and MEP systems in accordance with the 2021 IBC type IV-A construction. This concept was developed with classmates Grant Fadely and Rachel Petty, along with Professor James Rose, AIA.
